Child With Quilt Sylvia Marciniak Color Pencil Donated to the Wayne State University Arthur Neef Law Library

Mr. and Mrs. Olgiati give annually to the Sylvia Marciniak Award in Art and Art History. Sylvia was the sister of Mrs. Barbara Olgiati. "The Sylvia Marciniak Memorial Art Foundation was instituted to continue Sylvia's love and support of art, teaching and students".

Some of Sylvia's art work are displayed in the Port Huron Blue Water Museum and the WSU Arthur Neef Law Library.

Statement from Sylvia Marciniak: "I have always looked on my art as a celebration of all the things I love. I think the world has learned all it is ever going to learn from tragedy. I would like my art to help people feel good about being alive and feeling good about the world we live in. I try to find beauty in simple things, whether a simple expression in the eyes of a child, an adult, or an everyday still life of fruit".
